Shipping policyAdd a neat extra layer while keeping the sleeves you already like wearing. Ziplen combines a stand collar and front zip with a sleeveless shape, making it easy to bring a conductive-fabric vest into your existing outfit. Choose a dark neutral, Khaki or one of the MTF colours, then find the fabric and fit that suit you.
The EMF Shielding Stand-Collar Zip Vest – Ziplen, model AJ502, is a separate upper-body garment available in women's and men's fits. It is a practical choice when you want a vest you can put on over a shirt or top, with an upright neckline and a zip opening rather than a buttoned waistcoat design.

Your top, your sleeves, one extra layer
A sleeveless vest gives you a different kind of flexibility from a jacket. The top underneath supplies the sleeves, so you can keep a favourite shirt or long-sleeve layer visible while adding fabric around the torso. That makes Ziplen easy to consider alongside clothes you already enjoy wearing.
The front zip lets you put the vest on without pulling it over your head. Its stand collar creates a defined upper edge and gives the neckline a simple, upright shape. Together, those details make the garment feel distinct from a pullover, a lapel-collar layer or a traditional buttoned waistcoat.
Think of the vest and the underlying top as a pair. A contrasting sleeve colour can become a deliberate part of the outfit, while similar colours create a quieter combination. Because the sleeves remain visible, they have a larger styling role than they would beneath a fully sleeved jacket.
For a simple first outfit, choose a top you already wear often and add the vest over it. Then consider the neckline and colour together. This is an easy way to make the new layer feel familiar without buying several other pieces to go with it.
A stand collar that works with your neckline
Ziplen's collar stands upright instead of folding down into points or lapels. That makes a plain underlying neckline a straightforward pairing. A shirt collar creates a different, more layered effect; choose whichever arrangement fits your own way of dressing.
If you frequently wear high-neck tops, include one in your fit planning. The two necklines will share space, so it is worth considering how they will sit together. If you prefer lower-profile tops, the vest's collar can supply the main shape around the neck.
The absence of sleeves also makes the shoulder and armhole fit important. You want the vest to work around your underlying top without crowding it. Consider how you move your arms in normal use, as well as how the garment looks when you are standing still.
Fit the vest around your usual clothes
Women's and men's fits are each available in M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL. The size options include For women or For men. Select that fit designation together with the size rather than using the letter or number alone.
Begin with torso room. The chest and body need to accommodate the top you intend to wear underneath, whether that is a shirt, a simple long-sleeve top or another suitable layer. A vest should be chosen for the outfit you expect to use, not for a thinner base layer you rarely wear.
Next, consider the armholes and shoulder area. A well-fitting sleeveless garment you already own can be a helpful reference for the dimensions you want to check. Compare it over a similar underlying top so that the reference reflects your intended use.
Check how the front sits when zipped. You want enough space for sitting, reaching and bringing your arms forward without unwanted tension across the torso. If a specific measurement is important, confirm it before choosing; familiar size labels can vary between fits and brands.
Overall length is another useful comparison point. Think about where you want the vest's hem to sit in relation to your top and trousers. A good chest fit does not automatically establish the length you prefer, so consider both when narrowing the size.
If you plan to wear the vest beneath another outer layer, account for that too. The neckline and body need to work with the garment above as well as the top below. Choosing with the full combination in mind helps you avoid adding more bulk in one area than you want.
Four fabrics for a considered material choice
Ziplen offers MTF, 50Ag, 75Ag and 100Ag options. These codes identify the conductive fabric attached to each colour selection. Supplier-declared compositions for the specified textiles are:
- MTF: 41.8% cotton, 32.1% polyester fibre and 26.1% metal fibre.
- 50Ag: 50.6% polyester fibre and 49.4% silver fibre.
- 75Ag: 25.2% polyester fibre and 74.8% silver fibre.
- 100Ag: 100% silver fibre in the specified fabric.
Choose MTF if you want the cotton-containing blend. It combines cotton and polyester with metal fibre, giving it a different declared composition from the Ag versions. The metal in MTF is not identified here as silver; the Ag codes are the explicitly silver-fibre choices.
50Ag and 75Ag each combine silver fibre with polyester. Their detailed silver-fibre contents are 49.4% and 74.8%, so the codes are best read as short names for those compositions. If you prefer to compare exact material proportions, use the full figures above.
100Ag identifies an all-silver-fibre specified fabric. The composition applies to that textile rather than to the zip and every other part of the assembled vest. The fabric type is broadcloth; choose your fit and layering room from the garment dimensions rather than assuming a particular stretch characteristic from the material name.
Find the colour and fabric together
These are the available pairings for Ziplen:
- MTF: Heather gray and Light blue.
- 50Ag: Black, Blue black, Khaki and Navy blue.
- 75Ag: Blue black, Khaki and Navy blue.
- 100Ag: Black, Khaki and Navy blue.
Khaki and Navy blue let you compare all three silver-fibre versions in the same colour name. This is useful if you want to settle the look first and then think about composition. Black offers 50Ag or 100Ag, while Blue black offers 50Ag or 75Ag.
Heather gray and Light blue are the MTF choices. If you prefer one of those shades with your usual tops, the material decision becomes straightforward. You can focus next on the women's or men's fit and the size that works with your layers.
Black and Blue black are separate colour names, so read the complete label carefully. The similar names do not mean their material choices are identical. Keeping the full colour and code together is the simplest way to return to the same version when comparing options.
Before ordering, check availability for the complete combination you have chosen. Your selected colour, material, fit and size identify the vest in your basket. Keep those details with your order if you want to ask a care question or repeat the purchase later.

Make colour work with the visible sleeves
For a subtle combination, pair a darker vest with a top in a similar colour family. The stand collar and zip still give the outfit shape, while the colours stay quiet. Navy blue or Black can be useful starting points if those shades already feature in your wardrobe.
For a clearer contrast, choose a top whose sleeves stand apart from the vest. Khaki with a darker or lighter neutral underneath creates a different balance from a blue-on-blue combination. The idea is simply to use the sleeveless design as part of the look rather than treating the underlying top as an afterthought.
If you prefer a lighter vest, consider Light blue MTF and build the outfit around the shade you already like wearing beneath it. Heather gray MTF gives another route to a neutral-looking combination. Choose the colour that makes the vest easy to use with more than one top if versatility matters to you.
How EMF blocker fabric reduces RF transmission
Conductive-fibre textiles can interact with radio-frequency energy through reflection and absorption, reducing transmission through the material under suitable conditions. Frequency, the textile's construction and the continuity of its conductive structure influence the response.
Ziplen places that textile choice around the torso in a sleeveless garment. The neckline, armholes, front opening and lower hem are part of its wearable design. The vest does not extend its fabric down the arms or legs, so choose the format with the coverage you want in mind.
When comparing EMF protection clothing, keep fabric composition and garment coverage separate. The material code is not a percentage of all radiation blocked or a whole-body protection rating. It identifies the version you are buying, while the cut determines how that clothing layer sits on you.
Your underlying top still has its own fabric and construction. Wearing it beneath Ziplen does not give its sleeves the vest’s conductive-textile specification. If sleeve coverage is a priority, include that in your wider clothing choice. If you specifically want a torso layer with your own sleeves left visible, the vest format keeps that arrangement simple.
Care for the version you choose
Follow the care instructions supplied with your Ziplen vest for cleaning, drying and ironing. Keep the guidance for your material code, since the MTF blend and the Ag versions have different compositions. Check the permitted products and methods before the first clean.
If you need clarification, identify the garment as AJ502 and include the full colour/material label. That makes a care question more specific than asking about a general EMF vest. Use the same details if you are seeking advice about a repair or alteration.
Check the zip, armhole edges and neckline during ordinary care for visible damage or stressed stitching. If the zip catches, inspect it rather than forcing it. Any change to the fabric or seams should take the conductive construction into account.
Ziplen questions
Does this vest have buttons?
AJ502 uses a front zip and has a stand collar. Choose it if you want that opening and neckline; a button-front waistcoat is a different design.
Which colours offer every Ag fabric?
Khaki and Navy blue are available in 50Ag, 75Ag and 100Ag. They let you compare all three silver-fibre versions while keeping the colour name the same.
Can I choose Black 75Ag?
The Black options are 50Ag and 100Ag. For 75Ag, choose Blue black, Khaki or Navy blue. Check the full pairing before selecting your fit and size.
Is this a set?
No. Ziplen is a separate sleeveless vest. Wear it with your own top and lower garments, choosing the visible sleeves and colours as part of the finished outfit.
What makes it a useful layering choice?
The stand collar defines the neckline, the zip makes the front easy to open, and the sleeveless cut leaves room for your own choice of sleeves. Select the fabric, colour and fit that bring those details into an outfit you will enjoy wearing.
